Uploading Multiple APKs in One Release

The ability to upload multiple packages in one release provides developers and users with the following benefits:

  1. It allows developers to upload, in one release, packages of a particular app that have different configurations.
  2. It allows users who want to download and install that app to automatically receive from Myket the version that is most compatible with their device's SDK version and processor architecture.

Another important point is that, by using the multiple-package upload feature, developers can provide users with smaller packages that are compatible with different devices.

Important points when using the multiple-package upload feature

When using this feature, developers must observe the following points:

  1. The Package Name and signing key of all packages belonging to one app must be the same.

  2. Different packages of the same app must have different combinations of processor and SDK version.

  3. The processors supported by Myket in one release are as follows:

    • Armeabi-v7a
    • Arm64-v8a

The armeabi-v7a package can be offered to all devices with an arm64-v8 processor architecture. Therefore, if there is no package specifically for arm64-v8a, all devices can use the armeabi-v7a package.

    • All

A package with the All processor type is also equivalent to the armeabi-v7a package.

  4. Keep in mind that package version-code increases within an SDK version depend on the processor type. Therefore, the version code of the arm64-v8a package must always be higher than that of the armeabi-v7a package. Similarly, the version code of the armeabi-v7a package must be higher than that of the All package.

  5. A release may not cover all processors.

  6. A developer can submit a release request after uploading at least one package.

  7. Each package must have its own Version Code. This version code must be different from the version codes of the other packages.

  8. The version code of packages with the same architecture must be higher than the version code of the package with that architecture in the previous release.

  9. Uploading packages with identical version codes in one release is not possible.

  10. For a specific processor, the version code of a package with a higher SDK version must be higher than that of a package with a lower SDK version.

  11. According to Myket's rules, among the packages in a release that are compatible with a user's device, the package with the highest version code is automatically offered to that device.

Changes in the Developer Panel

The following images show changes made to the Developer Panel after the “Upload Multiple Packages in One Release” feature was launched:

Uploading multiple packages in one release in the Developer Panel

  1. In this section of the Developer Panel, you can select and add different packages of the app that you want to upload as part of one release.

Note: Each time you click this area, you can upload only one package of the app. To upload a second package, click this area again, or select the package using Click & Drag and drop it into this box.

  2. Enter the notes for the packages you have uploaded in this section.

Note: You cannot add separate notes for each package. You must enter notes about all the packages you want to upload as part of one release in this section.

The following image shows an example of uploaded packages and notes entered for the release:

After you click Save and submit for approval, the packages you intended to publish in Myket as one release are sent to the support administrator for review.

Additional points about uploading multiple packages in one release

  1. Keep in mind that, based on the standards and requirements developers must observe for a release, the support administrator may reject or approve one or more of the submitted packages.
  2. While the administrator is reviewing your submitted packages, you cannot edit the basic information, images, or versions.
  3. Since newer devices (such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra) and Android 15 and later versions support only 64-bit architectures, it is recommended that you publish both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of your app at the same time to avoid installation or runtime problems on newer devices.
